Mission
The 21st St. Cecilia International Music Competition 2016 is organized by St. Cecilia School of Music in Australia. Da Capo Music is appointed by the school to handle the organize, development and administration of the competition in Hong Kong. The mission is to develop the musical talents of Hong Kong through providing proper public performance opportunities and constructive assessments.
Background
St. Cecilia School of Music (www.st-cecilia.com.au) was founded by Mr. Matthews Tyson in 1970. Currently, the St Cecilia School of Music is internationally renowned for its excellence in music assessments, examining and teaching. In Australia, the school operates the yearly St. Cecilia Inter-School International Performance Challenge over 20 years, which is now a renowned yearly music festival in Australia. In Hong Kong, it is now a renowned as a popular festival for music students while the no. of environment is growing significantly yearly.
