Judging Criteria

Adjudication will be based on the overall performance of the Contestants, including:
♦ Technique – tone color quality, notes accuracy, rhythm accuracy, ease of play, fluency, control, etc
♦ Style and interpretation – stylistic understanding, character, use of tempo, presentation with imagination, conviction, etc
♦ Musicianship – dynamics, phrasing, articulation, musical sense, performance flair, effective communication, etc
♦ Presentation – appropriate performance dress, stagecraft, etc.
The decision of the adjudicator(s) on all artistic matters shall be final.

Assessment:
1. Contestants will be given a mark sheet after attending the Competition.

2. Competition prizes: only one champion, one 1st runner up and one 2nd runner up will be selected for each group.

Solo Class:

Champion, 1st & 2nd Runner up -
Trophy & Certificate

Ensemble Class:

Champion, 1st & 2nd Runner up -
Trophy for group & Certificate for every Contestant


 

 

 

Contestants who do not get prizes in the final round competition will be awarded "Certificate of Excellent" for encouragement.

4. An “Outstanding Music Teaching Award” shall also be given to the Schools, Music Institutions, Studios, or Teachers in recognition of their great contribution to the music education.
Requirements:

Schools, Music Institutions & Studios:

5 or more student entries, and at least 1 student of which won with the Champion, 1st or 2nd Runner-up

Private Music Teachers:

3 or more student entries, and at least 1 student of which won with the Champion, 1st or 2nd Runner-up

 

 







5. Adjudicator(s) and the organization have the right to make adjustment to the prizes according to Contestant's performances, without giving any notice in advance.

6. No fee will be charged for Competition certificates. Certificates shall be sent to Contestant’s correspondence address.
